#1 Most Powerful Fundraising Action In December

talking on phone

The most powerful fundraising action you can do this December is for the board, staff, and executive director to make personal phone calls to your donors thanking them for supporting your organization and wishing them a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

These are short, to-the-point messages.

You can say something like this:

“Hello Mrs. Smith, I’m Beth Chase with the Hope Pregnancy Center here in Seattle and I just wanted to wish you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and to thank you for supporting us in 2013. We served over 1,200 at-risk pregnant women this year and we simply could not have done it without your support…thank you so much. God bless you.”

No asking money for money during this call. Only thanking and blessing your supporters.

You can even leave a message on voice messaging machines.

The important thing is that they hear from you and are thanked.

  1. Should we do this rather than send out an appeal letter or can we do both?
