NEVER include detailed prayer requests in your minutes.
Why? Because your board meeting minutes are legal documents that may be subpoenaed and used in legal hearings and courts of law.
The purpose of minutes is to record decisions made by the board of directors on behalf of the corporation. They are permanent – they never go away.
I am not saying that you should not pray at your board meetings. Of course you should.
You are a religious organization and prayer at board meetings is important as your pregnancy center is engaged in a never ending spiritual battle.
Just do not include prayer request details in your minutes. Rather, let every board member take their own prayer request notes.
